What's Difference Between a Good joke and Bad Joke

The old joke wasn't told at peak Reddit Karma time, so it didn't get much traction. This one was, and is on the front page. The difference between that joke and this joke is the timing.That and the cadence of the joke, the way it's split over the subject and body vs putting the whole joke in the title - the timing of how it's read.HOW LONG IS HE GONNA WAIT TO SAY TIMING?!? ITS DRIVING ME NUTS. I KEEP CHECKING BACK IN EVERY 5 MINUTES.I asked my SO to marry me at a funeral and nobody laughed. 2/10 would listen to reddit again.

Which turns it into a good joke. Which then means good jokes can have bad timing? But then the timing wouldn't be considered bad since it makes the joke funny. But then the joke doesn't make sense anymore considering it's about bad timing. It's really a doozy of a joke if you think about it too hard.If the joke had been timed properly, it might have been a piece of advice. By timing it incorrectly, it went from sound advice to a bad joke. The joke is thus that the advice given by the joke is exactly the opposite of what the joke did. Hypocritical irony.I thought that it was that a good joke needs an explanation, which is funny, because when you have to explain a joke, it is usually not very funny.

Well you're assuming that it's original intent was to be advice and was then formed into a joke. If that were the case what you said would make sense, however if it wasn't, then you are misconstruing the joke itself by making it something it never was. Also, advice is different from stated facts or beliefs.The kind of joke I would tell to someone, and upon seeing their confused, then unimpressed face, I laugh out loud, while they hesitate to laugh, but when they finally do, it's because I find it way too funny.

A bad joke timing can be identified by poor hygiene, incorrect skin color, or constantly disgusting with it's watch. If you feel that you might have seen a bad joke timing, don't wait! Call the police or 911 immediately.
